Deja Carbon Neutral is proud to partner with South Pole on selected carbon offset projects. South Pole is a leading project developer and provider of global climate solutions. These project benefits align with Deja’s own social, environmental and economic values and commitments.

Safe Water Project Rwanda
The Safe Water project in Rwanda provides safe drinking water to communities by restoring and repairing their boreholes. This removes the need to boil and purify water over a wood stove, which, in turn, saves local forests and reduces carbon emissions. By providing 50 million litres of safe water annually and saving 85,000 tonnes of wood it sparks a chain of positive societal and environmental benefits.

Forestry Protection Kariba, Zimbabwe
Since its launch in 2011, the Kariba project has prevented more than 3.5 million tonnes of carbon dioxide from emission into the atmosphere each year by preventing deforestation and land degradation of nearly 785,000 hectares of forest. This is achieved primarily through promoting regional sustainable development, and the independence and wellbeing of local communities.
